This is a big no-brainer, right? Garth Ennis has spun so many yarns, even if you aren’t a fan, you definitely are aware of him. His stories always push the boundaries of how we perceive narrative, plot, and character development. This fact really bleeds at the heart of this tale, with many different angles that direct your attention into the full picture, but an enigmatic one at that.
The story feels like a guided tour through a highlight reel of what these two government agents, like a snarky/jaded Mulder and Scully, operate. That is, right up to the point Ennis pulls the rug out from them and you the reader! Garth Ennis has really turned up the dread factor. It’s nice to see him back to keeping us scratching our heads and what goes bump in the night style disorientation. Grab this one quick like!
